This caller left a recorded message to say "to find out more about this case before we proceed to legal action press 1". If you press 1 you just get a repeat of the message. For the elderly like me this is quite frightening.

SCAM Caller said they were from BT open reach. Asking about internet connection but our provider is Vodafone. When the caller was told of this she called me a fucking bitch and said I’d wasted her time. Not sure if it was a genuine call or the start of a Scam call. Be aware

"Industrial Workers Union" scam from Derby had been ringing me daily for around three weeks. Finally gave in to temptation and picked up. "We re totally legit" and "a government body" the man said. Basically boiled down to cold calling people on a tradesman database looking to get money out of past employers for supposed hearing loss. These people are the scum of the earth and the reason this country is going down the tubes. Get a real job before it s too late! Don t trust anyone that asks for more details
Advert on Face Book so I thought it was a good idea to plan for the future to protect my family. However, after I had filled it in, this number called and were so unprofessional I didn t think they were genuine. Tried to block the number on my phone but my handset won t let me. Scam call purporting to be from HMRC. Tells you to "press 1 to be connected to your case officer" and then threatens that you will be arrested if you don't.
Supposedly "National Insurance". Hung up at that point as recognised the recorded voice from previous fraud call.
Said it was my bank and that western union transfer had been taken from my account of £600 and that they were my bank press1 to talk to them to discuss the matter. I realised it was a SCAM as my bank would not phone me. I believe they are after your bank details and personal address Be aware. 07759981479
They keep calling me, in the states. I thought it might be business or a friend, but just a gent with an Indian accent starting a pitch. I think the "block" feature on my android should be on all phones, then these fellows will have to work for a living. Nice story, the one above "Manchester".
