The more people do it, the more likely the TPS will actually pay attention. I caused EMCAS (ambulance chasers) based in Torquay some grief by submitting a complaint to the TPS

Called my mobile phone, automated message regarding National Insurance - that is as far as they got, I hung up, now withheld. Obviously a scam.

A large number of people have been called by the criminals using this fictitious number according to other sites. Their aim is to gain the confidence of people and persuade them to allow access to their computers so they can infect them. Yesterday I was out all day and when I returned I found no less than five calls from a slightly different but equally fictitious number, 01614379874, but still equally recognisable as fake from anyone who has had so many of these calls as I have.
