The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Phishing organisation. Claims to be from Road Traffic Assistance Management and will suggest you have had a no fault car accident and are entitled to compensation. Only know s first name. Calls started as soon as I put my car up for sale and caller uses Gumtree username as your name.

Received unsolicited call from this number - did not answer. Called back (masking my number) only to hear a message say the number is not currently in use and is available for sale (BT might have something to say about that?!) and to contact a mobile number - I hung up - this needs to be followed up by someone

I ve been getting calls from this number on and off for a year and two things happen I answer and total silence or they attempt to make me buy a higher priced data pack and when I state that I don t need a higher priced data pack and even if I did I would just change it directly with their app they start getting more aggressive about it. My sister also just got a call from them and I just told her to hang up if they start poking for personal details which they did, me and my sister have blocked this number

Hi I worked for this company. They buy your details from either the blackmarket or datasets where you have opted in. So if you bought something somewhere online that required your number chances are you inadvertently opted in. They use a network of local numbers to seem reputable. The liverpool branch specialises in road traffic accident. They ll fish about for details asking you that they were informed a car accident was reported by your household within the last 2.5-3 years. Date 16-12-19 10-40 am. Automated call said he was from BT. Wanted me 2 press button 1 to get technical help. Claimed my broadband would shut down. I did Not cll back as I could hav been charged money. Looks like a scam to me.

Called shortly after pick up to report a scratch found on car. Office was closed both times so hung up. 1 minute and 2 seconds in total - cost me almost 5 quid. Will never rent from Sixt again - what a rip off.
