SCAM I didn't recognise the number so didn't lift the handset. Half a message was left at 10.27 a.m. The beginning was missing, and the message went on, "However, your internet and 'phone connection will be getting disconnected if this won't be fixed. Press 1 to speak with our Executive and get it fixed." HOW DARE THEY? This is OUTRAGEOUS. I recognised it as a scam, but what about all the innocents out there who pressed 1?

Number called twice, purporting to be from Caernarfon. Hangs up on answering. In my experience this is an auto-dial check to make sure that a real person answers the number. I will no doubt be getting calls from the Indian subcontinent, with the caller using redirect software to make the call appear to be coming from the UK. It's a scam call from those claiming you've been in an accident. If you go along with it for a laugh they start asking for all your details including your name. Funnily enough if you ask them "what's my name?" They hang up on you.
