SCAM - when I answered the number, it quickly turned to music as if waiting in a queue (similar to waiting to talk to your drs). So I rang it back and it said “sorry this number doesn’t exist”! I had been called by 0161 818 4494 and by 0161 818 4493 it was same for both they do not exist. So I took the last number off changing it to 0161 818 449 when I rang it said the same, it doesn’t exist! I think this is a number used by a company who cold call trying to sell you something, that’s my thought on this.

I was called from this number approx. 5,00pm this evening, and answered to a recorded female message advising me that my Amazon Prime account had expired, and that a charge of £95 would be made to automatically renew it. As I do not have a Prime account, I did not listen any further to the message, which I suspect was going to advise me to press a digit on my phone, to speak to an adviser, from where details of my Bank Account would be required!! I hung up halfway through the message.

Believe that this number could be associated with Bank Payment scams. I had an automated call from the bank stating that they has identified to suspicions payments against my account and would I confirm 'yes'; or 'no'. When I confirmed that I knew nothing about them I was put through this number which was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member of the Bank Fraud team. Danger - this number is from a scam Norton 360 protection email. It asks you to call number if you want to cancel the new subscription you have supposedly auto renewed. Would not have worked on me as I have taken Norton 360 as it’s crap as a protection software tool. If I had I would have gone direct to the Norton rather than respond to a high lighted number in an email.
