The usual PPI story. Have had countless calls over recent months. Even pressing 5 for next stage elicits a recorded message. Eventually line went dead.

This company has called me every 3 hours for the last fortnight. I have told them that I do not want a quote for home insurance & have asked them to remove my number from their database. The calls however are continuing & will remain unanswered.

Been calling for 6mths can't be important as no messages

This company is very aggressive and uses several tactics purporting to be an energy supplier or meter registration dept. They are energy consultants without qualms and trying to scare end users into agreeing a contract over the phone by saying that they are on extortionate out of contract rates, etc. Best way to deal with these people is to say you have signed a long-term contract and therefore not interested in their services. Called our company asking for the branch manager to carry out a survey on energy contracts & customer satisfaction. Told him it s all decided through head office so our branch manager wouldn t deal with it. He then asked if he could call back at a more convenient time, (obviously didn t listen to a word i d just told him!) at which point i told him no he couldn t call back at a more convenient time, no thank you & hung up on him. Logged him on our nuisance call list to be blocked by our telecoms company

Got a call from this number on my mobile. Said I d been in an accident. No I haven t. I reckon they just dial numbers at random. I say this because only my family know my mobile number and I won t give it out to ANYONE else. They didn t even know my name or where I was from or where the accident happened or what car I was supposed to have been driving or what time of day or the date it was supposed to have happened. Liverpudlian male voice asking about accident I was involved with. Promptly asked him to remove my number from database and reported to ICO. It s a scam.

Got a text saying: We have been tring to contact you regarding your accident, we now have details of how much you are due, just reply CLAIM and we will post you a pack out Obvious scam.

Ignore this number - scammers after your details it seems

Called and said i had a problem with my internet, told them politely lol the go away and i put the phone down, i have now blocked them from riding me again

Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.

We accepted a call from this company as we were in the process of trying to get a lifeline installed, due to coincidence we ended up with them visiting. Clearly cold-calling/ambulance chasing. Accept at your peril- in person sales technique equally as aggressive and alarmist (no pun intended)!!
