This number is in my phone as a forwarding number it's blocked but don't know why it's my forwarding number when I'm unavailable seems a bit weird
called me on my mobile, as it is a local number to me, same place as my dentist I thought it might be them, appointment this afternoon. but it is not. On ringing this number it says it is not in use? Strange one. SPAM, misdial who knows.
Sounds like Chinese (or similar!) therefore cannot understand……
SCAM. I have listed this as a scam because it is a call from out of the blue and as soon as my answerphone kicked in the call was terminated. Usually this means the caller is up to no good from my experience and if they don't leave a short message.

SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. I had a call from 01926893111 which was probably a dentist with whom I had made a web enquiry. But I did not answer and they did not leave any message. I suspect that the number has been wrongly registered on your database as entering the number which called me brings me to this page.
Called today @ 13:05 hrs. I have a call blocker on my landline set to 'announce'. This seems to work for all of these low life scammers. They do not introduce themselves to be put through. Telephone does not even ring. My suggestion is to get 'Call Guardian'

It was a recorded message saying "this is your bank. three withdrawals have been made on your card this morning...." and went on to list various sums. No name of bank, no name of card or card holder. The number used is not listed by my bank. Very suspicious.
male caller announced himself as peter parker from sky telling me someone had"hacked my broadband and offering to reset. sounded like call centre so hung up.
This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

Fraud - foreign-sounding caller purporting to be from VISA Security. When I asked which VISA account the suspect transaction was on the caller swore and hung up. I don't believe that is VISA policy or that VISA fraud investigation works from a questionable domestic number appearing to be in Stafford.
