Automated Scottish female voice left a message quoting a reference number and telephone number to call back. The company was called Zinc, which I m assuming is a debt collection company or someone attempting to steal my personal information, seeing as I have no debt.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). Answered call and a young man asked to speak with me by name in regard to private pensions, when he found that I was already retired & receiving a state pension, he said sorry for troubling me and ended the call.
Phoned my Scottish ex-directory number which is screened by an ansaphone but no message left.

I have just had a call from this number, when I answered they called me by my first name, said where they were calling from and I said I have not been involved in any accident nor has any member of my family. He said that was fine & for me to have a nice day and a happy Xmas!! I have now blocked the number.

They have no information on my appliance as it was fitted by friend who runs a business in this market. It is a marketing company trying to sell something (of what use I don't know).
