Lady with strong Indian Accent from Virgin Media technical said that hackers had got into my router (a hidden problem that affected other users too, not just me), and wanted to check it for me. I confirmed independently by dialling 150 and entereling my password. I was told that no technician had called my phone today, so it was either a phishing call or some attempt to gain control of my online device(s).

Something about HSBC adding a new payee to my online banking account. Thing is, I'm not even their customer. Possible fraud attempt.
Call to say there has been a suspicious order on your amazon account and that your account is now on hold and to press 1 for etc. Hanf up and block the no.
Didn't prompt call, when answering I didn't say anything they didn't either, they hung up. Call lasted two secs. BLOCKED. Could be dangerous, but definitely annoying. Get alot of such calls from London area, just answer to possibly waste their money even if possibly not.

They called me to sell me some solar panels. I cheerfully agreed to see them in my home tomorrow at 4pm. I live on the 11th floor of a 15 storey building.
