I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! SCAM Male. Asian accent pretending to be from O2 offering a 75% discount on my contract as long as I give him details there and then. I'm not with O2 nor do I have a Contract. When informed Him of this. He said Vodafone have the same deal and I'd be contacted. He met my blocked list.
Probably not a call from Orpington - there was a clicking before a connection was made suggesting a spoof number. A south asian female voice asked for me by name. I said not me and asked who she was. The call was then immediately ended at her end. In my view this is highly likely to be a dangerous scam call.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!

Just received a WhatsApp message from this number saying Hi. Shows on WhatsApp as a business account under the name 'Emily'. Will not respond as don't know this number.
