I don't know the full details of the calls, but 01270 311034 has been harassing my father today, calling back every few minutes despite him repeated telling them "no". Seems like the behaviour of scammers to me.

This is a market research company. This is how market research is done. In the call I took, the company were canvassing opinion for the HSE, this is important work. If you ignore their call they will presume that you are not available and call back again. If you don't want to take the call, just tell the caller that you are not interested in taking part in the survey. They won't call you back. Received a call today from 01942538691 which is actually a legitimate number from Brook Farm Cattery in Wigan. Only problem is the people who phoned me were Indian speaking and said they were from UK Benefits, PHYSHING for information in pretense of dong a survey, the information of which they then sell on to other companies and you end up getting bombarded with other unwanted calls.
Same, had a text saying my Lloyds bank account had been suspended and to call the number. I don't have a Lloyds Bank account - deleted and ignored.

This caller, a male with Asian accent, is potentially dangerous. He said he was from BT and that my broadband connection had been compromised. When I explained that I did not have a phone line from BT any more, I asked how could he know that my internet connection had been compromised. There was a few moments of silence while he thought of a suitable answer, then he said that the phone lines were provided by BT.
