A recorded message saying "This is BT your internet and Lind Line will cease to operate from today - press 1 to speak to an advisor or 2 to clear". This is an old scam which has reared its head again with new numbers. Do not press either button or you will be charged for the call and can be very costly. Block the number immediately.
Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. Said they can stop scammers calling - know that the TPS cannot do this with numbers that may look like UK nos but are routed from Asia.
