Second call received from this number. The first time they hung up as soon as I answered. The second time, I answered it, the bloke said that they were from "Consumer Helpline ", and "ringing about any finance [I d] taken out in the past ten years and any miss-sold PPI ", as soon as he heard me say that it was an "unsolicited call", and that "I m ex directory", the bloke hung up! This criminal idiot who says he is from the industrial noise community must think I ve just got off the MV Windrush (just off the boat) This is just another criminal conman trying to separate a pensioner from his money. Well he rang the wrong one here, because he got the door slammed in his face on this one. No matter who they say they are, DON T DO BUSINESS OVER THE PHONE! Another number for the call blocker.
This is a renewal scam phone number. Do not call them. You haven't been billed for renewing Norton (even if you are using it, this number is not Norton). They even claim the number is "toll free" - which it isn't. Also, this is not a term we use in the UK anyway, we would say it was a freephone number. The scam usually involves you logging in to your on-line bank, then them showing you that they have overrfunded you (by blanking your screen then manipulating the contents of the page).

I think this is a boiler room operation, touting for investment. Even after you tell them where to get off, they still call back many times. A boiler room operation is one which hypes "investments" which probably don t exist and you lose your money. Worryingly they knew my name.

SCAM I was called from a lady called Lisa. She sounded Indian. Anyway I am lucky because I have been allocated a free discount card. Free, up to 40% off shopping, Tesco etc. Also they will send me free flight tickets for me and my family, anywhere in Europe. Didn't want my bank account no. just my sort code and account number. So they could credit me £1. I put the phone down. I wonder if I will get my free discount card in the post as promised.

Caller named knew my name and my insurance company. He said he represented them which I don t believe. He said I had an accident on a certain date and he was calling in regards to nuisance calls. I didn t report any nuisance calls. I told him I didn t want to speak because his call sounded supsicious. Don t answer this number.
