Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.

Claimed to be paid by Microsoft, insisted I switch on my computer which supposedly had a virus. Resisted and argued when challenged, became abusive and continued to try to persuade me (but failed). SCAM / SPAM Claiming to be from HMRC for fraud asking for my personal information, I’ve called HMRC and they haven’t made a call they would send out a letter not a phone call.
Did not answer message left suggesting unusual activity on your card. Does not name the card. Asks you to press buttons on your phone. Ignored and blocked. Obviously a scam.

It may be nothing but better to be safe.
