They rang and when I answered the call an automatic voice just said "Goodbye".
This is a scam caller. They will know your name but don't verify anything nor give them any information. They are based in India.
Abso shite telling is it the HMRC what’s gan on like telling me ave got a time sensitive case which I know shite all about. telling me imgonna face hard and legal consequences as this is the last time I can resolve it. sorry officer mike Wilson but ya sound pretty similar to Siri if you ask me come get me coz ya calling from the Liverpool world museum, unless ya Mona Lisa coming back to get ya revenge do is a favour nd fuck off will ya mate. Nasty pieces of work. It is nasty people from Unite, that so-called trade union who are notorious in the (TV and radio) news for selling out clients to 3rd parties, colluding with employers of their own membership, and selling s**t like stannah stair lifts, private health insurance, Unite s own credit card, enhanced legal services for divorces, deaths of kids and other stuff nobody asked for. They hang up, when challenged for their surnames and call centre location.

Fraud got a letter through the post today about a company called "utility spark". When I've looked at the website it had this phone number on there and I've realised it's a big scam/fraud. Cold caller who called our TPS registered line, asking to speak to a named member of staff. Claimed to be Ewan from Connect (n.b. *not* BT Connect, just Connect ) and said he would be in our local area tomorrow, but then named a town over 20 miles away. Said he wished to discuss our upcoming assessment and proceeded to try to talk about saving money on your phone bill and broadband at which point we said we weren t interested and hung up.
