Clearly this is a nuisance and most certainly is unsolicited. Whilst the number appears to be a Manchester number clearly it is not. An elderly family member had a call from this number and in no way could understand the Asian caller. It is probably a fake number. When they ask if I have been in an accident recently my usual answer is to say "You tell me you seem to know". To the contributor who asked what 00 means in front of the number it is simply the first 2 digits you would dial when calling

Called today at 15.50. I didn't answer but checked with you. I avoid Everest like the plague - they fitted a new garage door for us and it was the shoddiest piece of workmanship I have ever seen. I would never, never,never recommend them to anyone.

I just got a call from this number. It was a well-spoken English man who said he was from the Call Prevention Service. He said I d joined thier service in August 2015...I hadn t joined anything like that, so i knew it was a scam. He said in November (I think he said the 8th) my 2nd year with them will start. Called pretending to be from BT broadband about an awful virus on my computer about to bring the whole BT network to a grinding halt. Wanted me to give him remote access to computer and hub. BT don t want to know, only thing to do really is to block the number to save any kids or elderly relatives being duped.
