I rang them back and ascertained from them that they had bought a quantity of telephone numbers from various sources and their computer was ringing them trying to get a positive response to their FREE BOILER initiatave. iv had 2 calls from this Indian the first he didn t even say where he was from or even verify my name but he was desperately after my d.o.b, post code etc. after a couple of minutes I hung up and he rang straight back saying apologies for connection but I replied "oh that s my fault I needwd to sync to my pc so I can pun point your location to come and see you face 2 face you thieving con man" and before my next breath he was gone n hasn t rang back since. RESULT!!
Told him I was not interested in completing a survey for Home Office - we are also registered with TPS so I have emailed [email?protected] to have our numbers removed from the database....we shall see!

He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. This guy said he was from vancompare who I have actually used before. Quite confusing but almost certainly a scam. The guy was South African
NEVER call these numbers back. They are spoofed by the scammers and are not calls from the UK. If you call them back, you may get caught for a large call charge.

SCAM just had a call today pretending to be sky they are not sky because I just rang sky and they have not rang up today to ask about internet speeds or refunds because of the sky broadband being slow, if you have anyone calling you asking to download certain things and that can veiw your phone then my advice is don’t do it unless you know what your doing is safe and genuine they will ask you to check your bank and tell you your not aloud to close down the veiwer client I suspect that’s like phishing

Young adult at home at the time answered phone and was asked for detailed information about person they wanted to speak to. Fortunately another adult nearby took over call. Upsetting and intrusive.
