SCAM Received an automated message from this number, claiming to be HM Revenue and Customs, threatening "legal consequences" if they didn't hear back from me or my solicitor. It's a scam offering a discount card for all major supermarkets and once you give your age group they told me I was also eligible for free return flight tickets and a week in a European villa. Catch - needed my 16 digit credit/Debit card number to place a penny charge to authenticate who I was. Needless to say I did not provide.

If I did not press 1 it threatened that a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested. I did not press 1 as felt this was not an appropriate way for HMRC to contact people in relation to this type of matter.

3.15pm Monday 27th April, foreign male,gave his name as Chris Lewey, , gave the name of a company which I didn t quite catch,and that he wasn t trying to sell anything but wanted my opinion.
