SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. I returned the call and it was for the British Heart Foundation regarding collection of furniture that I was asking them to collect (March 2023)

Not sure why he continued the conversation but I told him there's no reason to strike up a conversation with a mistaken number.

Caller spoke with an Asian accent purporting to be from Virgin Media Technical Support, when I challenged him and said I was also a computer engineer, he terminated the call without saying what he had called for

Unfortunately i did reply YES. So this could mean they will use my number for future scam attempts. I already checked my phone for any malware (avg scan). Anything else i should do?
