I had a call from 08004118899 trying to persuade me to buy plan to cover a Hotpoint washing machine as according to them my warranty has expired. Since I have never registered this machine and I doubt the respected shop from which it was bought would give them my details I was suspicious of their company and proposed service. Looking at these comments it would appear I am correct in resisting their advances.

Had a couple of missed calls from this number yesterday. Answered a call from them today. They asked for me by name and said they were called Motor Assist and calling about a car accident. I told them I hadn t been in one and that they d been given the wrong information. They hung up on me without even as much as a goodbye. Number blocked.

Told me they were calling as id applied for a loan which had been declined. I haven t applied for any loasns and she kept insisting I had but said she couldn t tell me where id applied due to confidentiality. In the process of buying a house and the only loan id applied for was a mortgage which is already in place so very disconcerting. When I tried to question her she tried to end the call. Had a call from this number, asking to speak to my mother. I explained that she is 90 and deaf so could I help, to which I received a very arrogant response that he could only speak to my mother. I told him again she was 90 and if he couldn t speak to me I wasn t going to let him try to speak to her. They are called Connect. They refuse to take no for an answer. Even when the other numbers they call from are blocked they use a different number. They actively harass and do it in the full knowledge of what they are doing. Report them and their number on the ICO s website. It only takes two minutes and will hopefully result in their MD personally bankrupted for blatant harassment.
