He was obviously reading from a script. When I started asking more questions he asked if I was the homeowner and I said no I’m their daughter & they hung up! Very suspicious to me. Warn all of your friends & family.

Had this number call a few times, yes it's part of Halifax but it's one of many of their areas - it could be birmingham midshires mortgage. It's not a scam. The reason you can't call the number back is it's a number set up not to accept incoming calls - many banks/mortgage companies etc have them now adays. Yes sometimes it's an Asian person, sometimes it's an English person - I'd love to know how you know though that they're muslim! Just because you can't call the numbeer back doesn't = scam. Safe number to use, initially they called stating they are from CarphoneWarehouse, but the number was genuine from Viva Visa UK as regulated by OISC from the Gov.UK website, they seem to be victim of scam using their ID number in replacement - therefore if you are using their legal service then brilliant carry on, but if you are not then I would suggest blocking the number.

This is a harassment cold call about having heard you have been involved in an accident - and they have called me twice this week, and I have requested that my number is removed from their database otherwise they will be reported. I m not holding my breath that they will not call again!
