Checked 1471 and found I had been called (no message left). Didn t call back because I know that 0844 is a rip-off number that s always chargeable. Seems to be from Kinex, a company claiming to save business money on insurance and services charges. Website www.kinex.co.uk shows contact numbers: - 0161 465 6610 to 6613, 0161 871 1095 to 1097 and various others. See also 01473 232194

The number is fake. London numbers don t start with a 1 after the city code of 020, although there is a real payday loan company called Lending Stream.

I received a text from this number suggesting that I could get a "Covid pass" from the NHS to say that I have had two vaccinations, giving the URL of a website to log on to. I don't trust it as the government has not yet decided to issue Covid passports
The caller had a very thick south Asian accent and claimed to be from "my network" - I didn't catch which one - and that I could benefit from an "offer". I cut the call and blocked the number.
