Supposedly from O2 UK - offering me a 40% reduction in call / contract costs. Foreign female / when I ask them to prove they’re O2 UK I receive official looking O2 UK texts with a code. I’m not convinced / so I hang up / block number / then check with O2 - await response.

I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. Amazon Prime Scam.
It says this is Clearanswer, a marketing company and one of BTs partners.....comments from the general public seem to suggest otherwise. A very foreign voice suggested my BT contract was coming to an end. I don’t discuss new contracts with a cold caller. When I said it wasn’t due to be renegotiated she hung up...not the sort of thing a genuine person would do.
