Have been having a rash of calls in our local area from people calling claiming to be from various 'car insurance ' or 'legal service' firms saying 'you were in an accident' asking about wanting to claim for damages. They come from various numbers in different towns - Goole, Machynlleth, Peterhead, Thurso, Merthyr Tydfil,Yeovil, Strathy,Manchester (4x), Leeds and more - this is just off my phone. I guy said he was calling from Vodafone and had a great deal for me as a Ltd company and he just had a few questions to ask. I have the right to remain silent (or so I believe) so I said nothing whilst I googled the number and found these reviews. When I went back on the line he'd gone. Oh well.

Scam Automated call claiming there is a tax fraud case against me. Didn't say who the company was, but didn't listen any further, blocked and deleted. Dangerous Spam Fraud

SCAM / SPAM Text message. I strongly suspect this is a scam purporting to be from Amazon threatening closure of the account due to suspicious activity. I have not clicked the link. If you are unsure, access your amazon account in the normal secure manner and look for any messages.

Rung today from the above about "the road accident you have had" - except I haven't had one... Advised her that it was illegal to cold call to tout for business, she insisted they were Ministry of Justice permitted.
