When they ring , they always get me out of bed, when i look at the number on the phone screen its very close to my area number so i answer , then there's a delay while it clicks and connects to a different part of the world and then a foreign sounding lady always mis- says my name with a long eee at the beginning and there is an office noise back ground . Got called by this number around 4:30PM on 21 March 2023. Guy with an Indian accent spoke, but hung-up after about 5 seconds. Tried phoning back, and it says "Welcome to Farn Mart", but none of the options connect you to anyone, it just hangs-up after you choose one.

Sadly this IS British gas I phoned them and they admitted that yes they do make presumptive appointments for smart meter installs with the onus on the customer to cancel them The appointment was also on my British Gas online account There is currently NO obligation to have smart meters installed Sadly you cant cancel the appointment online you have to phone them Ive not cancelled yet but put my details in an online complaint and instructed them to cancel it If need be Ill make the call before the appointmen
