Fraud - claim to be from HMRC and there is a warrant for your arrest. They say don't hang up phone call otherwise they will record that you tried to run away from arrest and they will be waiting at your place of residence until you arrive to arrest you. With the pandemic, lots of people have had trouble paying tax, so it might seem real, but this is a scam. They will always give you a chance to work out a payment plan. Avoid, block.

Told the caller his records were out of date as they were the last time he called.... so I don't think we have anything to discus. Hung up. Phoned our landline at 10am on 22.03.23. I didn't recognise the number (no one I knew) and so I let the answer machine take it. The caller didn't leave a message.
Linked to a life insurance query I made, keeps calling from multiple numbers in the same area code. I called them back and they were quite happy to give my name to the caller, without any ID checks. Very dodgy, do not buy anything from this company as they have no idea about customer service.

SCAM Some lady called me asking "If she could come up" or something. I said she got the wrong number. A few minutes later, same number, played an automated message saying I bought something for $799 on Amazon.com or something and I just hung up before it could finish. What a tool.
