Cold call today that I was due a £10 fuel voucher and offering one month free trial of motor repair discounts. Needed debit card number to charge £1 for posting voucher and information. I refused the offer.

It is nasty people from Unite, that so-called trade union who are notorious in the (TV and radio) news for selling out clients to 3rd parties, colluding with employers of their own membership, and selling s**t like stannah stair lifts, private health insurance, Unite s own credit card, enhanced legal services for divorces, deaths of kids and other stuff nobody asked for. They hang up, when challenged for their surnames and call centre location.

Scammers trying to sell telephone preference services to stop nuisance calls.. They have some of my debit card data and attempted to confirm security numbers on back for security reasons. This number calls you, you get a brief ringing tone and the call is answered silently and drops the line when you answer. Probably illegally locating live numbers for unsolicited calls.
