A guy with a strong eastern accent, called Jason, phoned me claiming to be from BT, claiming that my Internet address had become visible to everyone and that people would try to scam me. He wanted me to open Google but I said I couldn't. It felt like a scam of some sort.

SCAM!! Called saying someone was trying to buy an iPhone on my account. They sent me an Amazon authentication code and wanted me to tell them what it was! I think this is so they could gain access to my account. Very scary they could do this. I have now changed my Amazon login details!
Got called, my name and email were known to the caller.. claimed the FTX bankruptcy affected me and suggested i could regain my funds in crypto.. wanted to know if i had a wallet. I'm pretty sure i do not have any money outstanding, or lost any due to any bankruptcy. Voiced my skepticism, got called by a "manager" after, same story.. even less trust due to impatience and the voice calls without anything in email or regular mail. This number was used for a scam call supposedly from BT Internet. I think it is probably an ordinary valid number, Scammers seem able to hijack numbers and this is one of several received recently from other members

SCAM E-Mail, I believe this e-mail to be a scam. Informed me that my Currys PC protection plan is up for renewal @ £499.99. The phone number that they suggest I ring to talk about the renewal or cancellation is +44 1348 881008 this on checking, is a company in Dudley, using a [email protected] address. I may be wrong but I don't have any service plans with Currys and I think their e-mail address would include some reference to currys.

We were awaiting a phone call from our GP. This number rang and when we called back it said there would be a charge to connect if we dialled 3. The number was dead!!! We can only hope we have not been charged.
