SCAM: the number that called was too long to be identified as a phone number - it had 006 44 in front of it, which is probably deliberate to make it impossible to search. I could hear a call centre. Indian sounding guy asked for me by name. Told him he had the wrong number & he hung up.
SCAM Called saying she was wondering if I had been involved in a no fault accident. I asked if she was telling me or asking me. And if she was calling from Liverpool. She said "oh, I see" and something about removing me from their lists. Presumably I can look forward to other scammers calling about this fictitious prang over the coming months.

These people keep calling my mobile number and asking for the complete wrong person! I have told them on numerous occassions that they have the wrong number and to remove my contact information but it obviously goes in one ear and out the other! A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.
