Answered today offering information on switching, when I declined and asked for my number to be removed from their database they decided to argue with me about why I did not want to switch. Rude and Strange. I don’t think it is even a legitimate company. Be wary!

My partner has an ongoing battle with Safari Mobile. When she complained, they produced some detailed-looking reports, but refused to divulge the actual sign-up URL. After several e-mails, they eventually coughed up £50.00 as a 'good will' gesture, but the total owing was over £250.00. My partner was adamant she never signed up for the service and today she finally got hold of the bill for July 2016 which proves this beyond doubt. When you ring the number back it says you were contacted by ascend finance and if you want to be taken off call list to ring a Manchester number. It rang me at 6.28pm.

I believe this to be a telephone/banking scam. They purported to be my bank but they said they wanted me to open another account and transfer money from my account into this other account - at that point I stopped the call and called the number on the back of my debit card and reported the call to my bank fraud department.
