Caller said she had been given my number as someone who have had a little car accident in the last 2 years!! Clearly phishing or insurance scam

weekly calls from this and similar numbers, no message left, now blocked

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.

I've received 2 or 3 calls in the last few days. Don't know anyone in Rotherham so never answer. As a customer, Vodafone contact me by text, so no logic to the call.

If you receive a cold call from an organisation you don t know, just take as many details as you can, even if it s just the number and time of call and report it the Information Commissioner s Office (ICO) via this link https://ico.org.uk/concerns/ If enough people do this these companies will be fined - sometime pushing them out of business - and we can all enjoy owning a private phone again.

This number is used by Boku, a phone collection service (based in San Fransico, USA - with supposedly Europe wide offices) that collects "subscriptions" from, normally inadvertantly, "subscribing" to on-line adverts, messages and web sites. Boku send you a confirmation text, using this number, to tell you that you have just subscribed again. Had several missed calls from this number over the past few days, answered this morning and caller hung up immediately, same thing happened this afternoon.

I took phone call the caller left no name used our number said she would take it off there database said she would ring mobile number

Caller spoke in foreign language, took for attempts before he spoke in English then said it was Alex calling from BT Openreach about my internet connection. I told him it wasn?t BT then he swore profusely then hung up.
