Called, said they were from our bank. Said there were two withdrawals of substantial amounts that seemed out of character for us. Then said they needed to go through security questions. I hung up, called the bank and it's another scam.

100% nuisance caller. Starts with a guy who sounds likes he is mildly retarded asking to speak with "accounts payable". Ask who they are, he is evasive and eventually responding "Sovereign" regarding foreign payments. Doesn't matter how politely, or not so politely, you ask them to stop calling they will ring again a few weeks later. We just put him on hold and and leave him there.

Received call, recorded message, pertaining to be HMRC asking me to press a number to talk to them about incorrect tax return. I believe this to be fraudulent and that HMRC would not make contact in this manner.

Said he was phoning about how we pay our energy bill. Asked for full name,address,DOB,to confirm my identity! I held back and did not supply details as I suspected the call could be a scam. He offered to send an email (knew my email address) and then phone back. I told him to call in an hour as I was busy. No email received and he has not called back. When I checked this number on 'who called me' it made me super-glad I didn't fall for it. This is the most sophisticated scam call I have received - BEWARE !!

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. On answering the call the caller said my electricity account was due to expire. It is not, in fact it has another 12 months to run from February 2023. The caller spoke with an accent. Due to this the call was ended.
