This number, and a few others like it, have been calling me at random hours of the night, and play an automated message claiming to be from paypal, and telling me that there is an urgent security issue, and I need to verify my account details. It s clearly not from paypal, and is a way of scamming people.
Had a pre-recorded message in reference to suspending my NI number if I did not press 1 to discuss further. Apparently according to the message my NI number has been misused hence the threat of suspending. Obviously, I did not entertain them by pressing 1..

If you do not press 1, then we will assume you want to be arrested and the police will come to your home and arrest you." Or something along those lines. This number just called me - FROM MANCHESTER - claiming it was national insurance to say my N.I. number had been compromised in WALES ... I hung up.
Man with Indian accent. Said his name was Jerry. Called me Mrs [first initial of my oh s first name + his surname] which anyone can look up in the phonebook. Asked me if I was this person. I didn t tell him. Said he was from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I just pressed the red button.
