My phone displayed "Swansea" - Since I don t know anyone from here, apart from DVLA - I did not answer it because the only company from Swansea that I know is the DVLA, plus it came up on my mobile number which is registered with TPA.
Claimed to be from Amazon security and wax saying someone was try to spend £700 on my account and asked for my banking info. Immediately very suspicious as sure Amazon would not do this.

Fraud. A recorded voice told me that my visa card was being used to purchase something in the region of £600. I was supposed to press '1' but the voice didn't say what for!! I tried calling the number but it doesn't exist. Beware!

Waste of time survey call that failed to announce themselves in a way to recall the name, failed to provide their privacy information and rang off when details were asked. They were chasing for the RNIB/VIRGIN MEDIA and SCOTTISH POWER. If these people use this service I will not want any business with them.

01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. This is the latest number using the old con about your IP address being compromised and will be cut off in 24 hours. The message was in an American accent, for fun I pressed 1 and was put through to an Indian call centre. I could hear lots of voices in the background. Unfortunately the line went dead before I could wind them up. The number is now barred!
