SCAM / SPAM This was an automated voice telling me that there was a tax fraud investigation under my name. I believe this is quite a common scam. You can find details about these calls on HMRC website.
My husband passed the call to me as it related to my washing machine insurance renewal so I did not hear any name or how the call started. He did rather a hard (and fast) sell with a reduced annual figure but taking 3 years immediately. He seemed to have details of my current annual figure. I checked with D&G who deal with the insurance and they did not recognise the phone number as belonging to anyone working for them.
Scam caller avoid at all cost.

Missed call, very similar to my phone number so this is likely a dangerous call
SPAM. The caller asked how I was enjoying my boiler and central heating. I didn’t give her any chance to enter into a sales patter but just told her that I already had a local plumber and that any thoughts of selling me of her wares was destined for failure. Surprisingly the young Scottish lady crumbled and accepted her lot!
