The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Sounded like an Asian call centre. The callers voice was faint and I cold not understand what they wanted. Since this is a mobile number and the caller appeared to be in a call centre I consider it suspect.

This number, and a few others like it, have been calling me at random hours of the night, and play an automated message claiming to be from paypal, and telling me that there is an urgent security issue, and I need to verify my account details. It s clearly not from paypal, and is a way of scamming people.
