Introduced himself as John Shepherd and working for a children's charity, the name of which I did not catch. He checked with me that he had run the right number by checking my company name. SCAM. Initial silence then a voice saying that like most people in the last 10 to 20 years I probably had fibreglass loft insulation on a government scheme and now had damp and mould. He wanted to arrange a loft survey. I said I had no loft insulation and could check my own loft but he carried on. When I asked, he said he worked for “...the Insulation Advisory Line in Reading.” When I queried who had asked them to undertake a survey the call ended. I got a call from them after applying for a grant to replace my boiler so it all about energy efficincy . they put me on to british gas who are calling to assess if I am intitled to a grant
