Has been calling repeatedly and today was the first time I answered. It was a recording of a female voice. The message said that my national insurance number had been compromised due to fraudulent(?) activity. It went on to say that I should press 1 otherwise action will be brought against me. I didn’t press 1 and hung up.

Harassment! I had a missed call whilst at work and already did the check on here. Same number called just now. I declined to answer three times and she phoned back a fourth time. I told her to stop calling me. I then used the C-word when she refused and hung up and blocked the number. She phoned me back on 01651840439 and told me "go f*** yourself'

My wife took the call and person with a Asian voice started to go on about my council tax and when i asked why he was calling at this time he said it was very important and i told him all government offices are closed and that this is a failed scam and he and his boss must be as thick as hell to call at this time then i put the phone down. Number called twice, purporting to be from Caernarfon. Hangs up on answering. In my experience this is an auto-dial check to make sure that a real person answers the number. I will no doubt be getting calls from the Indian subcontinent, with the caller using redirect software to make the call appear to be coming from the UK.
