Just had a call for this number - an automated message saying it was from HMRC and my name was linked to fraud. I had to press 1 to be connected to an advisor. Failure to do so would mean I would be arrested.....I'll take that risk.

I was called this week by an intrusive salesperson who asked me if I went for walks. I told her I didn t think this was any of her business, and rang off. SCAM SPAM Fraud phone call as others have claimed that they pretend to be from O2 (probably trying to take advantage of the Virgin media/O2 partial merger) or hang up instantly. They don't leave voicemails or attempt more than once as it's an automated machine going through a number list.
I answered the call but they hang up. I've received two calls from mobile numbers that have the same first 5 numbers. These scammers seem to use a number very similar to yours. I guess to make you think it looks like a genuine caller. Best is not to answer. If there is no voice message left then it is likely to be a scam.
Definitely, do not talk to them they sound very dodgy. PPI claiming. Quite annoying and agressive. I hung up after 5min talking to them.

Been getting a few calls from this number over the last month, got fed up and answered, all I got was a robot voice saying goodbye before the call disconnected. Was pretty creepy and in general didn t appreciate all the attempts. From what I ve heard these guys are scam artists who atleast have access to vodaphone customer s information, though I m on orange, not the only one on this network to recieve a call from this number, so they most likely have access to their customer database aswell.
Would like to know who's calling number called now a couple if times but left no message.iT's a local number to me.
