I have told them on numerous occassions that they have the wrong number and to remove my contact information but it obviously goes in one ear and out the other! A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.

TAXES / HMRC - obviously recorded/robotic male voice claiming to represent HMRC and telling me to press 1 to be connected, if I don't press 1 a warrant will be issued and I will be arrested. Clearly nonsense and a scam but potentially worrying and so dangerous in my view.

SCAM This number claims to come from Royal Mail and wants you to pay a Fee to get your parcel delivered. It says that if you don't then the parcel will be returned to sender.
Was contacted by this number but no-one spoke.
SCAM Called saying she was wondering if I had been involved in a no fault accident. I asked if she was telling me or asking me. And if she was calling from Liverpool. She said "oh, I see" and something about removing me from their lists. Presumably I can look forward to other scammers calling about this fictitious prang over the coming months.

SCAM / SPAM - called purporting to be from BT Openreach about slow internet. I do currently have a case pending about slow net, so believed them at first. Got suspicious when they said they needed me to share my screen with them. When I asked them for a phone number to call them back on to check who they were they hung up. BEWARE.
