This number called me three times on 3/2/2016 in the space of half an hour and again today (4/2/2016). I have a watch that notifies me of any calls coming through and the number which is annoying, especially when I cannot access my phone at work. I assume since it is local that it would have been for a business of some kind. No messages were left which leads me to believe that this is a cold call. Usual PPI / car accident / similar sort of claim cold call. Blocked number. These people must be utterly shameless. I couldn t sit at a desk with a headset on being told to get lost (or worse) 100 s of times a day. Still, it s a job I suppose but I d rather be unemployed than lower myself to this sort of thing!

Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you.
