SCAM - very unpleasant call. Recorded message on voicemail (electronic voice) said if I didnt answer I would be arrested immediately. So far no arrest, so looks like I havent woken up in a dystopian nightmare where the police issues threatening electronic messages for 'criminals' afterall. Could be very frightening for some.

Have just bought a new car (yesterday)and my mobile is the contact number the dealer has (VERY few businesses have it), so I suspect it s related to my purchase - probably trying to sell me car insurance or extended warranty or something.

You might see this number if you are cooperating with certain Lettings Agencies, the one that uses Rentshield to get references for them, will probably also try to tell you that you need Liability Insurance Policy as a new Tenant. I dealt with a very transparent and honest Letting Agency and they told me that I DON T NEED Liability Policy when dealing with them. I was called from this number and the caller was very insistent / pushy about the fact that I MUST be owed PPI compensation otherwise they would not be calling. They required bank / credit card details and when I said I had already received compensation from my bank, the call was terminated by them without explanation.

SCAM Said they were O2. Very convincing. Sent an OTP, like a fool, I gave it to them. By the time their call ended, and I got through to O2 (max 10 minutes), they’d already changed my email and postal addresses. O2 tell me the only time they will ask for the OTP is when a customer calls them. Looks like I stopped them in time, all details now changed, and security info changed, but be careful people.
