This number called, claiming to be from BT, telling me my internet was being hacked and "used for criminal purposes". Clear sounds of a busy call centre in background. Female caller had an Asian accent and called me "Maam" (Drives me crazy!) Why would BT have a call centre in Orkney, employing Asian operatives? I hung up and have now blocked the number.
The number 01212701173 has just called me right now,,, "I call you because I have a refund for you" Thankfully I couldn t hear properly what more he was speaking about because it was too noisy and he cut off the call...
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12249246xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with inusrance marketing, PPI - Industrial Hearing Injury. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
