Yep, same thing happened to me. One number out of an influx of numbers calling me and hanging up - scamming Paki bastards in scam call-centres routing their calls through unused UK phone numbers to pretend that they're legitimate companies to try and fish for your personal details and use them for fraud. I wish these filthy Paki bastards would just fuck off and die!

SCAM - Repeated many calls from 01733 806--- numbers, block each time, they just change the last three numbers and try again. getting very many calls daily from Peterborough, I am sure if it was THAT urgent they would leave a message. I didn't recognise the number so didn't answer but they didn't leave any message on my answerphone. As it was a number local to me I called it back but BT said the number wasn't recognised so looks like a scammer

This was a scammer who pretended to be from BT talking about illegal access to your broadband.!! That's rich!! Hacked my bank account and Amazon a/c. It took ages-up to 5 days to clear this mess up and it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. If someone had asked me last night if the death penalty was appropriate for scammers, I would have agreed. Now thinking about it castration without anaesthetic would be better.

I've had two calls from this number on my work mobile. I missed the first attempt but answered the second a few minutes ago. She claimed to be calling from Curry's PC World in London and gave a London post code. Strange then to have a number with an Edinburgh area code! It appears that it's trying to sell phones. Very noisy call centre and a very bad line indicating that the call was coming from overseas, probably India judging by the accent. Block the number so you're never bothered by it again.
