Claimed to be investigating utility companies, looking at their website they've clearly got lots of other things going on. This was a sales call not an investigation.

SCAM, call from "Your Bank" yes, the machine said that. A sum of money was paid to someone from Your Bank and I should press 1, blah, blah
Caller asked for me by surname. When I said yes I was that person he went to hang up. I asked who he was and he said he was just someone who wanted to know if that was my name, and then hung up.
Scam - pretending to be Amazon Prime and press 1 to speak to a supervisor. I don t have Amazon Prime!
My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

I had a call from this number and was instantly suspicious. I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent.
