Call at 6:15 pm on 14 Jan 16. Lady caller (with a very English voice) informed me that I might be due a refund from a company called ......(something)....Jones. I asked who the company is and she gave some information which did not make much sense. I then asked what does the company sell at which point she abruptly finished the call. That sounds like a scam to me!

Called an ex-directory number, had house number and address. They stated I had installed cavity wall insulation that was not fit for purpose (when I haven't). They could send a surveyor etc to inspect etc.

I initially ignored their calls but I am glad I answered a call in the end. They helped me locate an old workplace pension that I had two decades ago. I hadn t given the pension much thought since I left the job. I couldn t of afforded hundreds of pounds to pay a financial advisor so they really helped me out. I do understand people being annoyed about the cold calling though.

Caller launched straight into his sales script - something about energy efficiency double glazing, so I hung up. He called straight back so I hung up again without speaking. Called back third time so I told him politely that we do not accept unsolicited calls & my number is registered with TPS . Therefore he should not be calling, and please don’t call again. He wasn’t listening but continued with his script regardless whilst I was talking. Then told me to “Shut my F*****g mouth up” And hung up.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8436563xxx range (I use the app from these pages, no problems)... People did someone answer this number?

Asian accent. Claimed to be from TalkTalk security dept., advising me that they have identified problems with our internet connection. Became evasive when I asked for further i.d. I told him that I suspected he was not legit and hung up. He immediately rang again with the same introduction so I hung up again.
