The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.

Called to offer me a better rate on my mortgage. I don t have a mortgage and they asked if I wanted my details removed, I said yes and was told this could take 1 business day. 23 hours later I received another call, I ve since had a call yesterday and today. Next time they call I m going to get the full company name and complain to the ICO.

A year since the last call from these clowns and they have started again.
SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.

Fraud - Robo message saying "This is 'bank' security, we have detected an unuthorised transfer..." Its a definate scam! What bank? If a transfer was "Unauthorised", then it should have been declined by the issuing bank, if not, the 'bank' would be liable! Reporting these calls to Actionfraud is a waste of time - nothing happens and it is a difficult process. It is about time this matter became an election issue!
