TAXES / HMRC Received a recorded message from female with American accent, (similar voice to many other recorded calls threatening legal action). It purported to be from HMRC and legal proceedings have been instituted against me. Told me to press button 1 for further information. This is DANGEROUS THREATENING BOGUS CALL. DO NOT PRESS BUTTON 1 AS IT ALLOWS CALLER ACCESS TO YOUR PHONE.

Female asked politely how I was then what handset I had. Said I do not want contact and told her she is breach of Telephone Preference and Information Commissioner. She hung up. I expect many more fraudulent calls now!

Please watch out for these scumbags - they will also send a very official looking booklet claiming to be from Scottish Widows via e-mail A couple of guys calling themselves Tom & Jamie but when you try calling their number it doesn't connect They are very polite and professional on the phone If you send them any money you will never see it again - luckily we didn't get caught but it was close

Pretended to be from D&G home-appliance insurance. After the spiel he asked for our bank details and said it was impossible to send documentation through the post. I would guess that many people have been taken in by this.

SCAM - Unsolicited call stating they spoke to me ages ago and implied I'd agreed to sponsor books for local school. Very slick, found out where my child goes and said 'headmaster will call you yo thank you'......then start pressurising payment over the phone and calling back daily. More needs to be done to shut these types of scammer down!!!

My phone showed me that is a fraud potential call, so I didn't answer it. I've blocked it

Told the caller his records were out of date as they were the last time he called.... so I don't think we have anything to discus. Hung up. I don’t know who they are but I will find them I have a very unique set of skills I will kill you. They are saying that they want to send free lottery tickets. Scam. They are a debt recovery agency trying to track down people with bad debt. I don’t do debt I owe no one anything how the hell they got my number is a mystery. Any I think they are a fraud. The number is now blocked. I thought there was a law against this sort of phone scam.

Definitely a scam as they asked for a fictitious name I have given the scammers before and false information. Trying to get me to change my life insurance to them so they can have a holiday in the Bahamas all on my savings I would expect.

Fraud Called today to me living in Norway. When I spoke Norwegian they hang up :-) Sounded like they called from a callcenter. Lots of speaking in the background. Probably wanted to scam me.
