I live in sheltered housing and they ring me, I think by accident, to see if I was OK. I rang them back and they just wanted to know if I had any medical problems or needed any help.

I'm in West Yorkshire and this is one of the increasing landline robo calls, originating from the south of England, I've been receiving in November 2020. Where it rings, there's no one there if I answer and if it goes to voice message, no message is left. Each time this happens I add the number to my phones blacklist so it's blocked if they try again.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. SCAM Foreign call centre. Car accident 'uninsured losses claim' scammers. Told me they were a small department within the 'British Insurance Losses Department' (doesn't exist). Couldn't tell me when my accident was other than 'the last two years'. Couldn't tell me where they got my details from. Told them I refuse to discuss anything with a company or organisation I've never heard of so they can email me if they have my details. They hung up, unsurprisingly.
