Sounds like a busy call centre in the background a female asked for my wife I said shes not in, shes at work, can I help you? so they just hung up with no type of explanation. Arrogant and obviously up to something they haven t got time to talk about.

It would seem that there are that many scam numbers that the good ones unfortunately are getting tarred with the same brush. Lovely peoplewho helped me sort out compensation for industrial deafness.

I told him he had the wrong number to which he asked if I was the owner of the number. I asked if he was on to sell anything, I m not interested. Another con trying to do business over the phone. Who in their right mind is going to do anything with a stranger over the phone? She said, very politely "I m sorry to bother you I won t be long." My reply was, I m sorry too, and you are right you will not be long." And hung up. She was lucky she did not get the usual abuse I reserve for such calls!

Keeps calling saying and when answered a pre-recorded message states that it is urgent for them to speak to me and I should ring a 0844 number asap.

I can t really say that this number is NOT TRUSTWORTHY, as if you want a lower gas/electric tariff, it may just be in your interest to answer the call, but if you are happy with your supplier, just answer the fone & let them know that you are happy with your service & they ll take your name off the ring list.
